Description

Oreste Candi worked alongside the great Bolognese maker Guiseppe Fiorini. For a decade or more Caesare made guitars and mandolins in his own shop after working for the Barbieri violin-making family. It was not until late in life that Oreste Candi focused on exclusively violin making, except for a journey into bass violin making. He made only one bass in his lifetime. All his fine instruments have a lot of flair and character and possess quality of sound in addition to a large volume of tone. This violin is in nice condition, and some light reconstruction was recently made by a fine luthier. Violins of this type often sell for more than $50,000. This instrument ensures a fine investment and certainly with a strong appreciation-not many are available.
