Purchase Details & Instrument Trial Terms & Conditions

Trial Policy: Bergonzi Violins offers a 10‑day trial period, beginning the day the instrument is received. The instrument must be returned by the scheduled return date unless the Buyer completes the purchase.

Return Policy: The instrument must be returned in the same condition in which it was received. No repairs, adjustments, or modifications are permitted during the trial.  While the instrument is in the Buyer’s possession, the Buyer assumes full responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage.

Shipping & Insurance:  Shipping & Insurance: For the Buyer’s convenience, Bergonzi Violins will create and provide shipping labels. The Buyer is responsible for outbound shipping costs, while the Seller covers the return shipment. The instrument will be shipped to the address provided by the Buyer. Buyers may either supply proof of their own insurance coverage or pay a modest fee to the shipper or Bergonzi Violins for shipping insurance.

Price: Each instrument is listed with its sale price in the Trial Agreement. Once the Buyer and Seller approve the purchase price of the instrument, the remaining balance is due within three business days of notifying the Seller.

Bergonzi Heritage Notes offer a curated historical perspective on each instrument, drawing from publicly available records and research to illuminate its journey over time. These notes provide context, narrative, and insight, allowing musicians and collectors to appreciate an instrument’s story while maintaining full transparency about its documented past.
